Quickstart: Launch in 15 Minutes
A step-by-step walkthrough to get your store online and take your first order
Pre-Launch Checklist
Launching your store on Teyweb takes less than 15 minutes. Before you begin, having the following items ready will make the onboarding process seamless:
Key Takeaways
- Your registered business or brand name and desired subdomain (e.g., yourbrand.teyweb.com)
- High-resolution square store logo (PNG, JPG, or WebP, minimum 500x500px)
- Clear photos and details for at least one product (pricing, description, stock count)
- Your active Nigerian commercial bank account details (Bank name and 10-digit NUBAN account number)
- Basic delivery rates for your local city and other states
Step 1: Create Your Account & Store
Visit the merchant registration page at app.teyweb.com/register. Fill out your full name, email address, phone number, and a secure password.
Next, enter your Store Name and choose your unique Teyweb subdomain. Your subdomain will immediately resolve to your live store (e.g., https://myshop.teyweb.com). You can attach a custom domain (e.g., myshop.com) or update your subdomain handle at any time in Store Settings > Domains.
Subdomain Flexibility
Subdomain characters must be lowercase alphanumeric and hyphens only (3 to 16 characters). If you ever need to rebrand, you can change your assigned subdomain handle directly in Store Settings > Domains, or connect a custom domain with automated SSL.
Step 2: Choose a Free Trial or Plan
New merchants receive an active 14-day free trial on our full-featured plan. You will be prompted to select your starting tier during the onboarding flow. No payment details are charged during your trial period.
Step 3: Brand Your Store
Navigate to Settings > Store Info Settings to complete your public identity. Upload your logo, add a punchy store tagline, specify your support WhatsApp phone number, and set your physical store address.
Next, head to Storefront > Themes & Templates to preview all 6 pre-built storefront designs. The "Modern" or "Default" template is activated by default, but you can switch to "Minimal", "Bold", "Artisan", or "Tech" with one click.
Step 4: Add Your First Product
Open Products > Add New Product from the navigation menu. Follow these quick steps to publish your first item:
Product Title & Description
Enter a clear, descriptive title. Use the rich text editor to write compelling descriptions with bullet points for specifications.
Media Upload
Upload up to 10 high-resolution images. The first image uploaded will be set as the featured hero image across your catalog and search results.
Pricing & Inventory
Enter your retail selling price in Naira (NGN). Optionally set a "Compare At Price" to display a strikethrough discount badge (e.g., Was ₦15,000, Now ₦12,000). Set your initial inventory quantity.
Publish
Toggle the status to "Published" and click "Create Product". Your item is instantly live on your storefront!
Step 5: Set Up Delivery Rates
Shoppers cannot complete checkout unless a valid shipping rate matches their selected state and city. Navigate to Settings > Delivery Settings.
Set up at least one delivery option for your local region (e.g., "Lagos Mainland Flat Rate - ₦2,500") and a nationwide delivery option (e.g., "Interstate Delivery - ₦4,500"). If you operate a physical retail shop, enable "Store Pickup" with zero delivery charge.
Step 6: Link Your Payout Account
To ensure you receive payouts from customer purchases, visit Payments > Payout Account. Select your bank from the list of all CBN-licensed commercial banks, enter your 10-digit NUBAN account number, and click Verify.
Teyweb performs an instant automated name inquiry. Confirm that the returned account holder name matches your business or legal identity, then save.
Step 7: Preview & Test Checkout
Click your store link in the top navigation bar or visit your subdomain in an incognito window. Add your new product to cart, proceed to checkout, verify your delivery options appear correctly, and confirm your store looks ready for customers.
Store Verification Required for Live Payouts
You can test your store immediately, but to activate automated bank payouts and unlimited checkout volume, submit your KYC documents in Settings > Store Verification.
Step 8: Inventory Tracking & Growth Intelligence
Once your store is live, Teyweb provides continuous operational intelligence to scale your business:
- Smart Inventory Hub (`/products/inventory`): Monitor your physical stock valuations, track 30-day sales velocity burn rates, and download vendor-ready purchase order sheets in the Restock Planner.
- Product Analytics (`/products/analytics`): Visualize demand vs stock on the 4-Quadrant Demand Matrix, identify revenue drivers via Pareto 80/20 distribution, and optimize catalog profit margins.
- Bulk Import & Takeouts: Migrate existing catalogs in seconds via Products > Import & Export (`/products/import-export`), or download offline backups anytime in Settings > Data Backup & Takeout (`/settings/backup`).
