Order Management Settings & Checkout Rules
Set minimum order requirements, maximum purchase limits, and automated order cancellation rules
Why Configure Order Management Settings?
Every business has unique operational realities. Wholesale distributors might require a minimum order size of ₦50,000, while high-demand sneaker retailers might cap purchases at 2 pairs per buyer to prevent scalping.
Teyweb centralizes these business rules under Settings > Order Management Settings.
Setting a Minimum Order Value
If fulfilling low-value orders is economically unviable due to packaging or logistics overhead, toggle on "Enforce Minimum Order Value".
Specify your minimum threshold (e.g. ₦10,000). If a customer's cart subtotal is below this amount, the storefront checkout button is disabled with an informative prompt: "Minimum order value is ₦10,000. Please add ₦3,500 more to checkout."
Maximum Purchase Limits per Order
To protect against payment fraud or sudden stock depletion by bulk resellers, you can set a Maximum Order Amount or Maximum Item Quantity limit.
Orders exceeding this cap cannot proceed to checkout without contacting your store manager.
Auto-Cancellation of Unpaid Orders
When a customer selects "Bank Transfer Checkout", the items are temporarily held in inventory so other customers cannot buy them.
However, if the buyer never transfers the money or uploads their payment slip, that inventory remains locked. To resolve this, configure the Auto-Cancellation Timer:
- Default: 24 hours.
- Options: 2 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, or 48 hours.
If payment is not confirmed within this window, Teyweb automatically cancels the pending order and releases the stock back to your live storefront.
Custom Checkout Delivery Instructions
You can enable an optional "Delivery Instructions / Notes" text box on your checkout screen. Shoppers can use this to provide critical delivery specifics (e.g., "Leave package with security gate", "Call alternate number 08012345678 upon arrival").
