Understanding Pending vs Available Balance

Under Payments > Payouts, your financial dashboard displays two distinct balance figures:

Merchant Balance Definitions
Balance TypeDefinitionWhen It Becomes Available
Pending BalanceFunds from orders placed recently undergoing standard gateway clearance.Clears into Available Balance after the standard T+1 settlement window.
Available BalanceFunds that have fully settled and are ready for automated disbursement directly to your bank account.Disbursed automatically on your scheduled payout day or via manual withdrawal.

Settlement Cycles & Payout Timing (T+1)

Under standard banking rules, card and USSD transactions settle on a `T+1` business day timeline (e.g. sales made on Monday settle into your account on Tuesday).

Transactions completed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday settle on the following Monday morning due to standard commercial bank clearing house schedules.

Platform & Processing Fee Breakdown

Teyweb is committed to full fee transparency. On every transaction row in Payments > Transactions, you can click to see an itemized fee breakdown:

- Gateway Processing Fee: Standard 1.5% – 2.0% local card processing fee charged by payment processors (with processor caps where applicable, e.g. ₦2,000 for Paystack).

- Teyweb Platform Fee: Modest commission based on your active subscription tier (e.g., 0% to 1.5%).

- Net Merchant Payout: The exact amount deposited into your bank account.

Automated vs Manual Payout Requests

Depending on your preference, you can choose between:

- Automated Daily Payouts: Available funds are automatically swept to your linked bank account every morning.

- Manual Payouts: Accumulate funds in your available balance and click "Request Payout" whenever you wish to withdraw.

Financial Reconciliation & Accounting

Every payout event generates a unique Payout Reference code (e.g., `PAYOUT-2026-8941`) matching the narrative shown on your commercial bank statement.

Click on any payout row to view the Payout Details (`PayoutInfoPage.tsx`) which lists every individual customer order included in that specific lump-sum transfer.
